ARIZONA COMMUNITY COLLEGES

It's probably safe to assume that everyone is up for a few text books, quizzes and dirty looks from teachers. Actually make that professors. They're the ones you'll be encountering on a day-to-day basis in college. It doesn't matter if you're heading off to a University or trying your luck at a community college, the professors come standard. While we're on the topic of colleges, I hear that Arizona community colleges are the bomb digity. I guess that's why so many students flock to that area. Then again, it could also be the dry heat.

I laughed at my teenage daughter when she returned from Phoenix, Arizona. She was so stoked about heading down there to check out the schools. Believe it or not, she was actually checking into the Arizona community colleges as well as the big schools. Surely you must be wondering why any kid in their right mind would choose a junior college over a cool University with all the standard amenities. Well, it wasn't because junior colleges are known for having a lighter work load. No sir, she was thinking along the lines of finances. Any time you leave your home state for a higher education, you must consider out-of-state tuition. This is standard, and you will be paying it; UNLESS you live there for a year first. Once you've been there for a solid year, you are considered a citizen. Anyway, my daughter was looking into the University transfer programs at the Arizona community colleges near one of her close friends. Make sense so far? Her friend had moved out there a few years prior. Now they were bent on going to school together. So, the plan is to attend one of the reputable Arizona community colleges for one year, and then transfer to a University. Sounds like a good plan to me. Not only will she get to live where you pleases, but she will save plenty of money by attending one of the Arizona community colleges for a year. Junior college IS cheaper.

Do you have your college career planned out? Hey, no one says you need to battle the dry heat and attend Arizona community colleges. Check out all the local junior colleges and see how reputable they are. The University transfer program is a prudent one. This way you can acquire the degree you need, but at a much lower cost.
