ASSOCIATE DEGREE ONLINE

Getting a distance learning degree can be a mixed blessing in many cases. If you are pursuing a master's degree or higher, you may want to think about enrolling in a more conventional college. Getting an associate degree online, however, makes a lot of sense. After all, the point of an Associates degree is just to get some of the basics out of the way. Getting an online associate degree does that, while giving you a lot of flexibility. If you are a working professional, getting your associates degree online maybe the best way to continue your education. Not only will it save you money, but it will allow you to fit class into your otherwise busy schedule.

Most of the intro-level classes that you take in college are pretty basic. You can get them anywhere and the quality is the same. If you are going for an advanced degree, I don't think it's a good idea to go without the one-on-one contact that going to college affords you. For basics, however, an associate degree online can be a really good idea. You have to look at your own personality and determine if it is right for you. You need to be a self-starter, an independent learner, and someone with the intellectual resources to figure things out without a lot of help. In other words, an associate degree online isn't the right choice for everyone. You should be honest with yourself and figure out if it is right for you. Otherwise, you are just simply wasting time and money.

Personally, I loved getting my associate degree online. A lot of people need help when they learn, but I am just the opposite. I actually work better when I am on my own! Without the distractions of a classroom environment, I could just get down to business. I could read the readings, watch the prerecorded lectures, and get to work. Of course, once I was done with my associate degree online, I wanted something more from the rest of my education. I wanted to actually be able to talk to my professors, to get to know my classmates, and to be able to enjoy a real college environment. Still, it was nice to have all of those prerequisites out of the way. I'm glad I got my associate degree online because it was definitely the best choice for me.
